Celebrate Independence Day in Keystone Heights
Keystone Heights is rolling out the red, white, and blue carpet for our 56th Annual Sounds of Freedom Independence Day Celebration. This year’s festivities focus on the birth of our great nation and the founding of our charming city. Generations of Floridians have called Keystone Heights home, and we invite you to join us in celebrating one of the region’s longest-running Independence Day traditions.
2024 Our Country Day Event Lineup
8:00 AM: Keystone Heights Freedom 5K Kick off your day with a run or walk through the picturesque streets and neighborhoods of downtown Keystone Heights. The Freedom 5K supports scholarships for Keystone Heights High School seniors through the Jordan Cooper Memorial Scholarship Fund. It’s a great way to start the day and support our local students.

11:00 AM: Sounds of Freedom Parade Presented by Lake Region Kiwanis, this beloved annual parade is the largest in Clay County. It features patriotic floats, hometown organizations, and military vehicles. Be sure to line up along Lawrence Blvd. an hour early to snag the best seats in town.
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Vendors, Food Trucks, and Events at City Hall Before and after the parade, enjoy a variety of local vendors and food trucks set up around City Hall. Explore crafts, delicious eats, and fun activities for the whole family.
5:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Concert & Fireworks at Keystone Beach Head over to Keystone Beach for an evening of live music and fireworks. The “Paul Wane Experience” will kick off the night with live tunes starting at 5:00 PM. If you’re bringing the kiddos, we recommend arriving by 8:00 PM to ensure you get a good spot for the fireworks show, which starts at 9:30 PM (weather and burn ban permitting). The fireworks will be set to patriotic music, and there will be plenty of food trucks on-site.
Entry Information: Entry into the park requires each spectator to have an armband. They are $1 if bought at City Hall prior to the 4th of July or $2 at the gate.
